Racing Is Now Back In Full Swing!
Now that Irish racing back in full swing since it’s return in early June we are now as busy as ever with all the national hunt horses back in starting their steady build work and it should be an exciting winter.
Over the last three weeks we have had 16 runners on the track and were delighted to see Kourvoisier get her head in front again with her second win in three starts for the Wasters Syndicate with Gary Halpin on board winning nicely by 3.25 lengths at 66/1.
We have had plenty hitting the cross bar over the last three weeks seeing Olly’s Folly placing third only being narrowly beaten a head and a head, Universal Focus picked up two places in this time finishing third and having a second placed finish in Leopardstown being a tad unlucky in running. The Rubinator also picked up some prize money finishing third at the Galway Festival for the Downtown Syndicate.
Over the coming days we have more set to run starting with Olly’s Folly running in the Ross O’Sullivan Racing Syndicate colours and we are hoping for another good run with Gary Halpin on board today. Lady Rocco runs Friday in Tramore, and Doonard Prince goes to The Curragh on Friday too and we are hoping the yard favorite continues his good form which he has shown this season with Mikey Sheehy in the saddle taking off 7 pounds.
Racing is doing a great job with the strict protocols in place and everyone is adhering to these, hopefully the wait for owners to return to racing isn’t too far away and we can all have many great days out in the future.
