MY STORY
Growing up on the edge of the Curragh, it is probably no surprise that I followed both my parents into the racing game, my father Johnny was also a jockey and worked with Mick O’Toole and Con Collins before Kildangan stud for 20 years until his retirement any my mum Anne rode Arc En Ciel to win a bumper for Con Collins at the then Mallow in the summer of 1975 and she also went on to work at Kildangan. She is now working for the Irish Equine Centre in Naas where My sister Robyn works as well.
I rode as an amateur jockey for 12 years, 5 of which, were with Jessica Harrington and 3 with Colm Murphy along the way I have been lucky to ride winners on horses such as Mac’s Joy & Feathered Lady and was involved with top horses such as Moscow Flyer and Spirit Leader.
I have held a dual purpose license for over 4 years and we have gradually built our team up for racing between both codes, with over 50 winners to date. We are now looking forward to continued success in our new purpose built facility.
Training since 2011, I have enjoyed fair success under both codes and enjoyed my biggest success when Baie Des Iles won the National Trial Handicap Chase at Punchestown in early February 2017 as well as winning the Grade 2 Prix des Drags at Auteuil.
